Michael (Mike) Carter is the athlete of the week during 4/8- 4/12. Mike is a senior on the varsity baseball team. Mike has been playing baseball since he was 3. On gameday Mike’s pregame ritual consists of listening to music. Mike loves to get hype before a game and his go-to song is Willy Wonka by Amr Dee Huncho.
Mike’s favorite memory playing baseball is beating Desmet high school his sophomore year, and his inspiration to play baseball is his grandma. Mike loves to play baseball because he loves being a leader.
Mike is a catcher on the field, but in the classroom he’s even better. Mike’s favorite class was Mr. Hopkins algebra 2 class because it was fun and easy. Mike’s plans after highschool consist of attending St. Charles Community College, playing baseball, and majoring in mechanical engineering.
