Armond Dobbins is the athlete of the week during 2/12-2/16. Dobbins is a junior on the Varsity basketball team. Dobbins has been playing Basketball for 15 years. On gameday Dobbins pregame ritual consists of going to McDonalds and getting two double cheeseburgers, a large sprite and a large fry.  Dobbins loves to get hype before a game and his go-to song is Family Ties by Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar.

Dobbins favorite memory playing basketball is scoring his first point in an official game , and his inspiration to play basketball is his dad because he used to play and also taught him how to play. Dobbins loves to play basketball because he enjoys the competition and it is fun.

Dobbins plays point guard on the court, but in the classroom he’s even better.Dobbins favorite class is government because he likes his teacher- Mr. Foster. Dobbins plans after highschool consist of going to a local college to play basketball.

Come support your fellow Wildcat, and Athlete of the week on February 16 for their next home game at Hazelwood West.

A quote Dobbins lives by is, “Live today- not tomorrow.”

Hi my name is Lindsay Wagoner,  I am currently a senior at Hazelwood West High School. I have played varsity softball at HZW all four years. I am also a part of student council  and national honors society. In my free time I spend time with my friends and I also work a lot. I work at The  Target over on the Rock Road. After high school I am planning on attending MIZZOU to pursue a career in pediatric nursing. I am very excited to be involved in the newspaper this year and I can’t wait to get out and take pictures at all of our school events.
