Xavier Coleman is the athlete of the week during the week of February 5th- February 9th. Coleman is a senior on the Varsity Wrestling team. Coleman has been wrestling for 4 years. On gameday Coleman’s pregame ritual consists of making sure he gets a really good warmup in before his match. Coleman loves to get hype before a game and his go-to song is X Gon’ Give It To Ya by DMX. 

Coleman’s favorite memory wrestling is winning his first Varsity medal, and his inspiration to wrestle is remembering how much love he has for the sport. Coleman loves to wrestle because it’s competitive, but it’s also very fun.

Coleman excels on the mats, but in the classroom he’s even better. Coleman’s favorite class is Chemistry because it’s very interesting information. Coleman’s plans after high school consist of going to Mizzou and majoring in Chemical Engineering. Coleman intends to try out for the Mizzou Wrestling Team.
