Ciera Cherry, Staff Writer

Hi, my name is Ciera Cherry. I’m a senior at Hazelwood West High School. I helped make sure the ‘Walk It Like I Talk It’ fashion show last year ran smoothly with the help of others.

I am a passionate cook who finds inspiration in both the kitchen and the world of art. From crafting delectable dishes to painting vibrant canvases, I find beauty in the flavors and colors of life. My favorite thing to do is to bake, only because I like giving my brownies out for my friends to try. If my friends ask me to bake them brownies or cookies, I would do it without hesitation.

As a cook, painter, and reader, my life is an ongoing narrative of exploration. Every dish, every stroke, every chapter is a chance to add another layer to my artistic journey. I’m excited about the newspaper because it helps me connect with my school and the students. I like to live by it. It doesn’t hurt to try as long as it doesn’t kill you. I’m most excited about the interviews and taking pictures of different social events within our school. I’m trying to do as much as possible since this is my last year without feeling the burnout. The newspaper would be helpful for me so I can get over any awkwardness when speaking with others. I’m excited to see what is up and coming for the school and to be able to document it.
