Computer Graphics

Prerequisites – Art and Design, Drawing 1 

Let’s say you want to get better at drawing, but maybe you prefer digital art? Computer Graphics is the class for you. This class lets you draw using a professional pen tablet and Hazelwood will pay for you to have a year long subscription to the full Adobe Suite. Another benefit is you can borrow the cameras from your teachers that have them available to use for personal projects or class work. When you finish this semester long class you will be an expert in both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

 

Drone Piloting

Prerequisites – None

Drone Piloting will teach you the basics of flying your very own drone. By the end of the semester you will have your very own Drone Piloting Licence. A necessity if you continue to fly drones in the future. The class focuses on learning the FAA regulations and rules about air traffic control. The class is made to be very simple and to the point for people who know nothing about aerodynamics. 

 

Stage Design 1 and 2

Prerequisites – None

When taking stage design. Mr. Anderson will teach you in’s and outs of woodworking. You get to use tools like Power Drills and Circular Saws in order to help build set pieces for the theater performances at west highschool. For example furniture and buildings for sets. You’ll also learn some fundamental theatre elements that can help if you are interested in theatrical arts. If you enjoy designing rooms you’ll get some experience with layout as well.
